Bulu Mata (1998) Manusia manusia super

Unlikely to be a one-of-a-kind specimen, Bulu was born at Budapest Zoo in 2014 as the last of a litter of four. Sadly his mother passed away just one week after birth leaving him in the care of his unsuspecting father and brother. Thankfully, the zoo’s finely honed curation and handling skills were on hand to ensure he would be able to make his mark at the Monkey World where he is now a proud member of the orangutan clan. Hyperthymesia (2001)

Have you ever wondered whether or not you could remember the exact date of your last birthday? If so, then you might be one of the few people in the world who has a condition called hyperthymesia.

This condition — sometimes referred to as highly superior autobiographical memory (HSAM) — allows individuals to recall nearly every detail of their lives with extreme accuracy. It’s rare, but researchers are working to understand how this memory works and what causes it.

Research has identified a few people who exhibit this remarkable ability, including Jill Price. Her superior memory is accompanied by right amygdala hypertrophy and enhanced amygdala-to-hippocampus connectivity. These findings suggest that the amygdala may be involved in encoding and retrieving information about the past, as opposed to the typical role of this region in emotional processing.
